Can youtube views be tracked?

Sign in to YouTube and select your profile icon. Select YouTube Studio and select Analytics in the left panel. YouTube allows you to view and track statistics such as engagement, audience, reach and activity in real time. YouTube (and ultimately Google, the owner of YouTube) can and do track viewers.

This tracking, Google representatives say, is not intended to spy on people, but rather to improve the user experience and provide valuable information to video publishers, including small business owners and marketers. YouTube has an integrated analysis tool that can be accessed from “YouTube Analytics. Under the “Audience” tab, you can find specific information about the people who viewed the videos on your channel, including gender, location, and age range. In other words, the video was played by a human on a device, and YouTube confirms that it is a legitimate view.

Once a video reaches 300 views, YouTube “temporarily freezes the view count to confirm that they are legitimate views of real human beings. If you want to let a YouTuber know that you've shared their video, the easiest way is to check if they're active on that social network and then tag them directly in the post by sending a message to the YouTuber directly. By measuring your YouTube views, you can successfully change your strategy to grow your YouTube channel. Because, even if you meet the condition of at least 30 seconds of viewing time, a view that comes from the same IP address makes YouTube suspicious of you.

However, YouTube can count views of popular songs that people listen to many times completely (from start to finish). YouTubers can't see exactly who watched your video, but they can see the percentage of viewers of a certain age or what gender they are. Yes, your own views count if you play your own YouTube video, but only if you do it once or twice, not if you constantly refresh the page. However, if you constantly update the page to artificially increase the view count, YouTube will identify it as a spam practice (see the definition of Views, refilled above).

YouTube can differentiate whether it's viral replication traffic, a trending song, a playlist song, or a looping spam view. YouTube uses the device's IP address to determine that the view comes from a user who wants to watch a video. The view count is very accurate because it eliminates most false views using its algorithm.
